What styles of salsa is taught?
We teach the cross body style (commonly known as LA style) and occasionally add in a little Cuban style.
Do I have to sign up with a partner?
It is not necessary to bring a partner. However if you have a partner or friend you would like to dance with, you are most welcome to bring him or her.
Can I make up for missed classes?
Yes. You can attend a similar level class to make up for missed sessions. Please note that fees paid are not refundable or transferable.
What clothing should I wear to the lessons?
Comfortable attire. People generally come to the class casually dressed or in office attire.
What shoes do I wear?
A comfortable pair of shoes! shoes with smooth sole is recommended. Slip on, sandals or mules are not practical for ladies as you need support around the heel. Do wear a pair of shoes that are well secured to the feet. You do not need to buy any special dance footwear for salsa unless or until you become really serious about it. For guys, track shoes, sneakers or leather-soled shoes.
What if I'm not ready to the next level of classes?
You can repeat the same level of classes. In that way, you get a chance to refresh, practiice and build confident before moving up the next level. (The fee for repeated salsa courses are at a discount rate of 50% per course. This discount is applicable to all level salsa courses and valid for repeats within 6 months.)
